The World Cement Association is a not-for-profit making organisation. In respect of processing of personal data about members we can claim exemption from GDPR requirements because;

  • Concerning our membership, we only process information necessary to provide or administer activities including WCA events for people who are members of the organisation or have regular contact with it.
  • We only share the information with people and organisations necessary to carry out the organisation’s activities.
  • We keep the information while the individual is a member or supporter or as long as necessary for member/supporter administration.
  • Applicants have a facility to opt in to communications from us.

We follow the rules of GDPR in respect of all personal data which is not directly related to members.

We collect information about you when you register as a member with us on the website or send a downloaded application form or enquiry form or other communication requesting information or place an order for products, events or services. Website information is collected using cookies.

We collect information about you to process your membership application or event subscription or order, manage your account and to communicate with in response to enquiries and inform you about products, services and events we think may be of interest to you.
