It was established in 1976 by Mr. Mostafa Kamal, Hon. Chairman & Managing Director & started it’s journey with FMCG. Unique Cement Industries Limited started it’s journey from 2002 with a small capacity of 1500 TPD cement grinding plant (based on closed circuit ball mill technology) at the Industrial Park of Meghna Group of Industries which is situated at Meghnaghat, Sonagaon. More production lines were added in 2007, 2012 & 2019, based on the latest & most energy efficient Roller Press Technology (in finished mode) from Germany (Thyssenkrupp & KHD).
With plant production capacity of 5 MTPA, we are one of the largest cement manufacturing organization in Bangladesh. Our product is being sold under “Fresh” & “Meghnacem” brands and both in bulk as well as 50 kg packing.
The grinding Circuits are innovatively designed which allows cement grinding operation in all three modes ie (1) RP only (2) RP+BM ie combi mode (3) BM only, to produce PCC CEM II B/M (mix design consists of 5 ingredients ie Clinker + Slag + Lime Stone + Fly Ash + Gypsum) & other types of cement. Plant is operated either in RP only mode or RP+BM (Combi mode) depending upon market demand, which gives the best & lowest specific power consumption for cement grinding.
With further optimization of the grinding circuit, the plant is being operated at specific power of @19 Units/Tn (RP in finished mode) & @21 Units/Tn (Combi mode) for PCC CEM II B/M product.
